24th and L Street (site of Westlight Condo and Square 50 Apartments)

Disposition: Issued a solicitation for two sites, a city-owned library site, and a city-owned fire station site. This complicated public-private partnership transaction included selecting a development partner to monetize the development rights above the library and fire station, and provided newly modernized facilities for both within new mixed-use buildings. The city received a new library and fire station at no cost, in addition to affordable housing and payment for the land.
